This ancient technique uses thin/painless needles about the size of a human hair. These needles are placed into specific areas of the body to promote healing. Upon insertion, the feeling is comparable to a bug bite. The needles increase blood flow to the area which then decreases inflammation and reduces pain. Acupuncture is very calming experience and patients even fall asleep during treatments.

No, acupuncture is generally painless. These hair -thin needles may cause a slight sensation similar to a bug bite. Patients find the treatment very comfortable and actually fall asleep and fully relax during the session.
Each condition and patient is different. The longer you have been experiencing the issue, the longer treatment will take. A typical course of treatments is 10-12 visits. It is common to see results after 3-4 treatments, but severity of pain can make this time longer.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing with nothing tight or restricting. Try to eat something beforehand as it is best not to receive acupuncture on an empty stomach.
Initial acupuncture treatments include medical intake and are about 75 minutes.
Follow-up treatments include shorter intake and are about 60 minutes.
Yes! Acupuncture is not only for sickness and injury. Acupuncture is a full body treatment which promotes healthy body function and boosts the immune system. Acupuncture is great for general wellness, relaxation, and stress relief.
